The Eco House is a retreat for those who like to be close to nature. Whether you have decided to come to Utila to dive, or just to rest from it all, the Eco House would like to offer you comfortable and pleasant accommodation in a tropical garden full of birds, shaded by ancient trees and cooled by eastern winds.

We would like to be your hosts and guides and to show you Utila that few discover: hikes through the deep forest, picnics on deserted beaches, snorkeling on remote islands. 

When we say "eco", we mean it. This is true tropical living and birds and bugs are important part of it. You can stroll trough the garden and learn about many types of heliconias, pick a ripe papaya, observe big hairy tarantula, even watch a boa sleeping in the rafters. If you want to experience true tropical jungle,  come and stay with us in the Eco House.

NOT FOR EVERYONE

Simplicity and rustic charm are not for everyone. If you need air-conditioning and do not go anywhere without your hair dryer and electric toothbrush, you will not be happy in the Eco House.
